Sesame bar with honey, dried figs and almonds
Instructions
Roast the sesame seeds on low heat (in the oven or in a pan), stirring constantly so that they give off their aromas without turning black. Roast the almonds. Finely chop the figs.
Place the sugar and honey in a pan and stir until the sugar dissolves in the honey and the mixture starts to darken slightly. After mixing the sesame, almonds, and figs in a bowl, pour over the caramel mixture while it is hot. Mix carefully so that all the ingredients are incorporated.
Place the mixture on an oiled surface and, while it is still hot, cover it with an oiled parchment paper and roll it out with a rolling pin, giving it a uniform thickness. Remove the parchment paper. Straighten the edges by removing excess pieces and cut into portions. Let the sesame bars cool and you’re ready!
If you want, you can store the bars with parchment paper or in resealable food packaging bags.
